Log into cPanel for the relevant domain, and select ‘Email Accounts’ under ‘Emails’.
Enter the desired name, make sure the correct domain is selected, and generate a password – make sure it’s secure. The usual quota we assign for these accounts is 1024 MB.
Under cPanel tools, go to Emails > Email Routing, and ensure this option is set to local.
In the domain’s DNS, ensure you have mail records set up for IMAP. This will be slightly different for each server, but is generally 1 or 2 MX Records, a TXT DKIM record, a TXT SPF record, an A Record to webmail and a CNAME record for mail.
Once the account is created, send the user their username and password.
