Envato
Envato elements is a stock library that we mainly use for web related projects but it does have some very useful resources that we can use either in designs or as inspiration.
Envato have your typical stock image library as well as many graphic templates and mock ups.
Login is within LastPass and we have unlimited downloads so you can use as much as you would like.
iStock
iStock is quite expensive in comparison to our other library’s and we don’t currently have a recurring subscription. If you need to use iStock then speak to your account manager first as we normally charge the customer extra for images through iStock.
Coolors.co
Both us in graphic design and web design tend to use Coolors.co – it shows all colour values for each of the colours you pick. Including Hex which the web guys use and then the CMYK values which we use.
thenounproject
There are many places to find icons online but thenounproject.com is my ‘go-to’. It has a vast library of icons to use and is free of charge. You can download either PNG or SVG files – I would suggest SVG as you can then open these in Illustrator and do as you please with them.
WeTransfer
Sometimes when files are too big to send over email (normally 10MB max) or you have a lot of individual files to send, we will use WeTransfer to send them on to the customer for proofing or to the account manager to then send on.
When you go on WeTransfer.com it will give you two options, either send those files directly to the email you input or you can get a link to then email over. The link is normally the better option as then it can be opened by anyone who has the link. So customers can pass around if they need extra approval or if the account manager needs to review before sending on.
mockupworld.co
This is a great library for mock ups. These will be used when we want to show what a design/logo will look like on real life objects rather than on flat background. You can also use these to show off designs to then use on a portfolio or social media.
