Sickness & Lateness Policy

Sickness:

On the first day of any sickness absence you must ensure that Amy 07919 345 501 or Toma are informed by telephone of your sickness at the earliest possible opportunity and no later than 8.30 am. Please note Texting is prohibited.

You should also give details of the nature of your illness and the day on which you expect to return to work. You must inform us as soon as possible of any change in the date of your anticipated return to work.

Sickness absence of up to and including seven consecutive days must be fully supported by a self-certificate and thereafter by one or more doctors certificates provided to the Company on a regular basis during the period of sickness absence.

You must inform your line manager on the first day of your return to work after a period of sickness absence and complete a self-certificate form if applicable. Self-certification forms are available.

We understand sicknesses are unavoidable, but we will not tolerate any employee’s repeatedly taking days off due to sickness.

Repeat offenders will be called in for a back to work interview, where if necessary disciplinary action will be taken.

Remember, if you feel well enough to come in, you should.

Being in a small team, if you aren’t in, then someone has to cover your work load as well as their own which is unfair if you are well enough to come in.

An apology should always be given when calling in sick.

Lateness:

Same as above applies
