Terminate cPanel Account

1. Go to the site’s current server
2. Click List Accounts
3. Scroll down to the account and press the orange CP
4. Go to Backup Wizard > Backup
5. Click Home Directory – this will download the website files
6. Click SQL Databases > and the name of the database for the site. This will download the website database.
7. Move these downloads into the customer folder > Web > create a new folder called Termination Backup 2024
8. Go back to the main server page (where List Accounts was), and locate the account listing again.
9. Press the little plus sign
   
10. Click Terminate Account
11. Confirm it’s the right account listed, then press Terminate
12. Update the Hosting Spreadsheet by moving the listing from the “Servers” list, to the red “Terminated” tab
    
13. Update the SSL Services Spreadsheet by removing the item from the list.
14. Send an email to Accounts and the account manager to notify them of the account termination.
